When you want to loose
weight, we tend to accept any help that is
provided to us. This is where diet pills come
in. If you search the internet, you’ll find
hundreds of different pills and supplements and
it makes it very hard to find the right one.
Before you choose
you diet pill....there are two types of diet
pills:
PRESCRIPTION: Available only through
your doctor; closely regulated by the Food
and Drug Administration (FDA); may cause
side effects; often costly.
NON-PRESCRIPTION: (fat burners,
stackers, herbal pills and sports supplements)
Minimal FDA regulation, may be lacking in
purity or quality; some are fairly new,
definitive data is lacking; may cause side
effects.
Choose your goal. Choosing
the right weight loss solution for you can be
hard if you do not know where to start. Diet
Eating recommends you start by picking a
goal for yourself. Do you want to lose weight or
simply get in shape? Your choice of weight loss
solution will depend on this.
Get information.
Read about
the diet plans that spark your curiosity and, if
you can, check other diet plans out. Check if
the weight loss solution is versatile or strict,
find out what kind of foods you can eat and how
balanced the diet is. If you are not sure, speak
with a doctor.
Try it.
When you have made your decision, try your
weight loss solution. It should suit your goals
and your lifestyle. Certain diets can be too
restricting for some while some people need
structured diet plans.

lose weight safely. Again, I don’t recommend
taking any of these supplements without a proper
diet and having consulted a physician if you
suffer from any medical problem.
Every supplement has its own label, so read
carefully. Some have side effects and it would
be wise to be aware of what they can and cannot
do to you during the time of treatment. I also
need to mention that every person’s metabolism
is different, one supplement can work wonders
for you but not for me and vice versa. It’s
important to choose wisely and follow the
directions on the labels.

be taken seriously. So read on and see if one is

What you should know...
To date, no published studies have supported their use in weight reduction, and unpublished studies that have shown benefits in weight reduction were mostly done by their manufacturers. (...) The best advice is to avoid weight loss supplements, which generally do not work and may be dangerous. The Food and Drug Administration banned the sale of dietary supplements containing ephedra (ephedrine alkaloids) because of their harmful cardiovascular effects, including increased blood pressure, stroke and irregular heart rhythm.
