Tofranil   - An antidepressant
Zyprexia   - In drug that addresses psychosis
Diabeta   - For diabetic patients
Diabinese   - Another commonly used drug for diabetes
Prevacid   - Anti hurt-burn

People are getting fatter in all parts of the world, with the possible exception of east Asia, doctors found in a one-day global snapshot of obesity.

Over all, 24 percent of men and 27 percent of women seeing their doctors that day were obese, and another 30 percent of men and 40 percent of women were overweight, the researchers found.

That puts the rest of the world close to par with the United States, long considered the country with the worst weight problem. An estimated two-thirds of Americans are overweight and a third of these are obese.

One of the factors to consider when trying determining if fast food can cause obesity is other lifestyle choices that might affect body weight as well. For example, many families who frequent the fast food chains also have a tendency to keep less healthy nutritional choices in the pantry at home.

 

The absence of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains can make the effects of the burgers and fries that much more severe. It has also been found in studies that slender teens who choose fast food on occasion will balance that choice by consuming fewer calories the rest of the day.

 

Obese and overweight teens do not have the tendency to make those types of choices. While there may be evidence to show that fast food causes obesity, it seems that other factors and choices come into play as well.
